We seem to be an adventurous family. One that likes to travel to new places and see the beauty of nature and architecture and new people. Hopefully that was fed as we camped many summers in the mountains when our kids were small.
This past weekend one son was off in Poland visiting Auschwitz (and other stops) while another son was hiking Israel and spent Passover/Easter in Jerusalem. My prayer for them is that they will stop and take in the beauty and grace and forgiveness of the Father through their adventures this weekend... that they will “take off their shoes” so to speak and not just sit around and pluck blackberries. May they be moved by what they have seen, tasted, smelled, and experienced! God is SO good!
For myself, may I not just walk past beauty whether in nature or a person and not discover God. I pray I won’t be found very many times plucking blackberries but taking off my shoes in reverence to the Creator God who loves and gives His son so I might live eternally with Him!!
